Georgiana was in turns delighted with her new friend, then bereft when Jane no longer had time for her, due to Wickham’s intense courtship.
Fitzwilliam Darcy is angry at this treatment of his sister, but never expects to meet this inconstant friend.
Thus, when he joins his friend Bingley at Netherfield Park, he is surprised and somewhat resentful on meeting Jane.
On their part, the Bennet family are worried about the appearance of Darcy, due to Wickham’s tall tales of his wickedness.
Elizabeth Bennet is determined to find out the true character of Jane’s betrothed and Fitzwilliam Darcy might just have the answers.
An interesting variation, well worth a read!
