Love Potion Darcy's Mine by Violet King ★★★★☆

When Caroline Bingley purchases a love potion from a stranger in the woods, she hopes it will finally secure Fitzwilliam Darcy for her.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t love him, just his status and riches.

When she slips the potion in his drink, the consequences are far from welcome.

Darcy takes a drink moments before dancing with Elizabeth Bennet, the woman he secretly adores. The potion overrides his self-control, resulting in a passionate and very public kiss! Droplets of potion on his lips cause Elizabeth to respond in a similar manner.

By their own actions, they are compromised.
Darcy is mortified, Caroline is horrified and Elizabeth is very confused!

Darcy and Elizabeth join forces to discover the cause of such uncharacteristic behaviour.
Meanwhile, Caroline deploys every stratagem, manipulation and misdirection to get rid of Elizabeth and redirect Darcy.

A great novella, with just the right balance of angst, malevolence and romance.
Oh, and Caroline gets her just desserts in the end!.
