Hearts & Horses: A Pride & Prejudice Novella by Christie Capps ★★★★★

Elizabeth Bennet was captivated by horses at an early age. However, a family tragedy means she is denied any opportunity to learn to ride or to just spend time around horses.

As a child she fought against the restriction, until the sad reason is explained.

Now a young lady, she meets the haughty Fitzwilliam Darcy and his behaviour makes her avoid him.

When her sister, Jane falls ill at Netherfield Park, Elizabeth goes to care for her. Close proximity to Darcy is uncomfortable until they find a shared passion for horses. Without Darcy's social mask, Elizabeth finds him much more agreeable.

A delightful variation with love, angst and all things equine.
